Event Description

Chimeron's annual masquerade ball in celebration of the Day of the Dead. The day will be filled with great food, plot teasers, and fun tournaments (new and old). The night will be packed with court, dancing, and yet more food and plotting. Grab your mask and fancy clothes; come join us for the Black and White Ball!

This year, in celebration of finally getting to enjoy each other's company Chimeron is pleased to host The Black and White free of charge (donations are of course glady accepted via paypal).

The evening schedule is going to be a bit different this year, we're going to wrap up content earlier so people can hang out or head home as they feel most comfortable:

Rules Changes and Notes

All Chimeron events enforce an expanded Code of Conduct, which can be found here: http://coc.chim.fyi

To aid contact tracing (and notifications if plans change), eveyone planning to attend must pre-register on RealmsNet. Please make sure your email address is up to date before registering. If you would like to register someone in addition to yourself, please make sure you denote that clearly and only do so if the email works to contact all of you.

All people who are eligible and medically able to receive the vaccine are required to be vaccinated. If you plan to attend and are not vaccinated, please contact the event holder explicitly.

The event site is requiring masks while indoors (we'll plan on moving the dayboard outside), and anyone who cannot be vaccinated will need to wear a masks both indoors and outdoors. Everyone should wear a mask during combat and other times when social distancing can't be maintained.

The event site may impose additional restrictions (capacity limits, mask requirements, vaccine documentation, etc.) -- we'll keep this page updated and notify anyone already pre-reged if anything changes.

Other Notes

There will be a poker tournament held at the Black & White 2021. 25 gold buy in, 4000 chips. There is one 25 gold rebuy when you are at 1000 chips or less in the first hour, or at the end of the first hour. Rebuys will not be available after the first hour. When you first buy in, you will be given an opportunity to buy 1000 extra chips for 5 gold. this 5 gold will go directly to the dealer as a tip. standard blinds will be used.

As has been in the past, there may be additional prizes available for the top placed players.

Note to players: the poker tournament will start at 1:30 and will be set to run for a maximum time of 3 hours. With enough participation, this tournament will count towards points for the Stacked Deck Tournament series.

From the East or West:

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstate 90, Exit 6. After toll
area, turn left at traffic light onto Interstate 291 West. Proceed one
mile to Exit 5, East Springfield/Indian Orchard. Turn right at the end
of the exit ramp onto Route 20A, then immediately move into the left
lane. Turn left at the first light onto Roosevelt Avenue. Proceed
three miles to Alden Street and turn left. Proceed down Alden Street
to first light; take a right at the light. Please park at the Child
Development Center (second driveway on the right) and follow the signs
up to East Campus.

From the North:

Take Interstate 91 South to Interstate 291. Proceed four miles to Exit
5B, East Springfield/Indian Orchard. Turn right at the end of the exit
ramp onto Route 20A, then immediately move into the left lane. Turn
left at the first light onto Roosevelt Avenue. Proceed three miles to
Alden Street and turn left. Proceed down Alden Street to first light;
take a right at the light. Please park at the Child Development Center
(second driveway on the right) and follow the signs up to East Campus.

From the South:

Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 2, Route 83. Proceed on Route 83 to
the second traffic light and turn right onto Sumner Avenue. After two
miles, turn left onto Roosevelt Avenue. Continue through two traffic
lights, and then bear left at the stop sign. Half a mile after the
stop sign, cross a bridge and turn right onto Alden Street. Proceed
down Alden Street to first light; take a right at the light. Please
park at the Child Development Center (second driveway on the right)
and follow the signs up to East Campus.
