Rules Changes and Notes

If there is any discrepancy/conflict with this event announcement and any other communication/document about the event, this event announcement takes precedence.

Realms currency is not stealable at this event.

Magic Items/Weapons stored in cars/cabins (after questing) are considered not stealable. (Yes, that means you do not need to worry after questing is done and do not need to be weighed down by all that equipment on your back as you enjoy the night!)

With specific requirements that must be met, marijuana may be consumed at Uncle Cecil’s this year.

All marijuana that is smoked, vaped, etc. may only be consumed at the smoking area. There are no exceptions to this rule.

All edible marijuana products must be stored in a truly childproof container that remains sealed unless someone is actively accessing the interior. For example, a box with a lock on it where one person has the key would count as childproof. A Tupperware container that requires some force to open is not considered childproof for these purposes. This is a higher standard than you might see with prescription pill bottles because pills cannot be mistaken as food by older children. As a general guideline, a container is appropriate if it has two of the following four qualities: is locks, it is difficult to open, it is fully opaque, and it will be kept on the owner's person at all times. If you are sharing edibles, you must be 100% clear what you are giving to every person you give it to, and it must be consumed in front of you. "These are magic brownies," is unclear. "These are pot brownies. They will get you high," is clear.

Marijuana may only be used after First Toast until the end of the party. This mirrors our rules for alcohol. This rule also applies to edibles, which we are aware can take longer to take effect.

You take it easy and at no point consume enough to be a problem for others at the event. This is the same rule as we have with alcohol. Have fun, and do not cause others to not have fun.

You tell staff at check-in that you brought marijuana. You provide any containers for a brief inspection when asked by that staff member. This is equivalent to checking your booze at the bar. We want to know what is being used on-site so we can plan accordingly. Expect that the container for all edibles will be inspected at check-in.

You agree to hand over your marijuana and related supplies/tools to the event core staff at any request to do so. This is the same as getting cut off by the bar. It is rare, but it happens. You will get your stuff back at the end of the event. Our goal here is to prevent a non-ideal situation from becoming a bad one. We do not expect to have to use this authority.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Other rule changes may be announced at the event.

Other Notes

Core staff (listed above) can be identified by their fancy sashes.

ALCOHOL:
Alcohol consumption with proper ID. No exceptions, be prepared with your ID.

All alcohol must be given to the bar staff. Bar staff will be available to facilitate this when you check in to the event. Label what is yours. Do not bring homemade premixed drinks, like punch.

No drinks served before the First Toast.

Due to space and in an effort to get your drinks to you in a timely manner, we are enforcing a bottle/case limit per person. This limit is TBA, but will be announced at least 2 weeks before the event.

FOOD:
For your dietary restrictions to be accommodated, we need you to register them to Liz Butler (contact info above, or reachable via Facebook Messenger) no later than Dec 7, 2019.

DISCOUNTS/HELPING:
If you would like to NPC, wash dishes, bar back, or help with clean-up, please contact Pat (whose contact info is listed above, and can be reached via Facebook Messenger).

Those who NPC and/or work a 2 hour shift can receive $5 off their event fee per shift, up to a maximum of $15 off from this or their next Uncle Cecil’s fee. (NPCing the dayquest counts as one shift.)

Helpers will also be allowed to claim staff bunks in the house. Of note, the bunks in the tavern are reserved for core event staff.

BUNKS:
All cabins have space heaters provided by the site. Non-staff bunks are available at no extra cost, but at this point are almost all claimed. If bunks are still available as future event payments are received, Pat will contact folks in the order of payment receipt to offer the opportunity to reserve a bunk.

If you sign up to help with the event, you get access to staff bunk space until we run out. There are still a fair number of bunks free in the staff house between the parking lots.

TAVERN:
All personal equipment must be removed from the Tavern/Main Hall by 5:30 so we can be ready for the first toast at 6pm.
