Staff / NPCs
[09AUG23]
Thea Dalma, the rogue avatar of the sea goddess Calypso, has begun her assault on Nangea. They hope to use the mysterious power held within the land and its archons to fully usurp Calypso as deity of the seas and storms, at the cost of the people of Nangea.
Join Emissary Thassos on his quest ordained by King Skyros and the great Calypso herself, as he returns to Nangea to help its people thwart the machinations of the corrupt Thea Dalma.
News from Nangea tells that the remaining peoples there, the Brimiri led by Tybalt, and the Arazians, a people whose leadership is split between the rebel general Ashir and the arcanist Nefita, have joined in common cause to drive Thea Dalma from their land, as well as discover the mysteries of their peoples past
As of 14SEP23 we have reached cap.
Covid
All players and staff must test themselves for covid-19 the day they come to this event. Vaccination will not be accepted as an alternative to testing. We will have spare tests at the event, but we encourage players to take tests at home prior to leaving. It would suck to get here only to test positive and need to turn around.
Weapon Foam
Some people have been experimenting with half-inch foam on weapons, rather than the five-eighths-inch foam that the Omnibus requires. At this event, we will not be allowing any weapons that have only a half inch of foam.
Stealing
At this event, gold is not stealable. As a warning, certain NPCs may attempt to steal magic items from PCs.
Other
We will be using our moving player cap for the event again this year. The initial player cap will be set to 40 people, and we will raise the cap if we feel that we get enough additional staff to sufficiently provide the quality event that we set our standards for. Only paid pre-regs will confirm your spot for the event (unpaid regs will be listed as "Waitlisted" until paid. If you miss the cap, we hope you will consider staffing in order to help provide a better questing experience for others. Any interested parties may reach out to an EH or leave a note with any questions when you register as an NPC.
We intend to have a live site by 7pm on Friday, however recognize that people tend to filter in as they are able to get to site. Early content on Friday will be light, and heavily revolve around getting players caught up on the story so far, with heavier questing starting closer to 8-9pm depending on critical mass of players. We are attempting to keep as much of the combat on Friday night to well lit or indoor areas. Light refreshments will be served on Friday night.
Pancake breakfast around 9-10am and we intend to try and have questing kick off in full starting at 11am and aim to conclude questing around 7pm with time to serve a meal for dinner, and allow time for players to spend some time relaxing around the campfire. IC interactions with characters will be available for some of this time as there is PC interest/reasonable length of time. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the tavern throughout the day, with a short break for soup around 3:30pm.
Please include any and all dietary restrictions in your registration.
Site Notes
Cabins are available at a first come first serve basis, although there are generally more bunks then there are attendees. If you are attending with a group of at least 5 and would like to reserve a cabin, please reach out to event staff.
This is to be no consumption of alcohol on site. If you smoke, we ask that you do it either off site, or in a designated area (if the site still allows this).
We ask that if you are arriving after 8pm on Friday, or 11am on Saturday that you leave your car in the parking lot and use the shuttle service (phone number posted by gate) to make the journey up to the cabins and active site. If you are arriving before those times, feel free to drive your car right up to your cabin and drop your gear off. We ask that once gear is dropped off you move your car back down to the parking lot at your earliest convenience.
The trails of this site are public, and you may encounter dog walkers or hikers. While we post notices at trail heads of the ongoing event, we do ask that players and staff be respectful of others using the site, and if need be, pause the event briefly to allow people to pass as needed.
This is a dry site
There are several cabins on site, we ask that players try to stick
to the cabins marked for players. Cabins are
first come first serve, but there should be plenty of bunks on
site.
