IC Notes:
After months of tracking Sir Edwyn’s forces throughout the Realms with the aid of the Circle of Crows, the Silverwing Justicar, and the Enlightened Quill Society, it has become clear where our wayward Lich intends to strike next. His scattered forces are converging upon the abandoned Necron, a base of power that once belonged to the necromancer known as Calladen.
It is likely that he will be sending Sir Roman and Dame Carrion in to claim as many of the useful leftovers as they can get their hands on, including relics, souls, beasts, and bodies. It is a veritable treasure trove of wicked means to wicked ends.
Raelynn, Percival, Grimpaw, and I intend to scout out as much information as we can for you in advance but know that this will be a race against time. Hard decisions will need to be made, and you must learn to prioritize as a team if you want to stop things from escalating from bad to worse. The enemy is motivated after their last defeat, and they will stop at nothing to advance their cause.
Make your preparations, and we will soon meet to plan our infiltration.

OOC Notes:
On Friday night, come celebrate the autumnal season at Evie’s tavern, where we’ll be hosting our traditional fall equinox potluck, as well as the new and improved Wild Hunt tournament. You can expect our usual Friday night court, Bardics, and some special surprise competitions that Evie has planned just for the occasion before traveling to the outskirts of Necron in the morning.
Saturday day will have questing starting around 11:00 AM and will run until dinner break, followed by a night quest.
Sunday there will be continued content and event wrap-up.
-For 2023, Voraniss Questing III requires proof of vaccination (pictures accepted) or a negative covid test taken no earlier than two days before the event. Pictures of a negative test will need to include a time stamp. These requirements and guidelines could be updated closer to event depending on reccomended Covid regulations.
-This is a DRY event. Drinking will not be permitted.
-Magic Items and Powers should be Pre-Regged & checked in ahead of time. There will be no item reg day of the event.
-Magic item abilities/powers will NOT reset with spell resets.
-No player should use red light sticks. "Torches" can come in other colors for the purposes of this event. If you see red lights, no healing magic will work within 10 feet of them.
Special Event Calls:
Plague- If plague draws blood, you become afflicted. You attack any living creature around you without hesitation. Every swing you make while afflicted, you will call plague. This persists through death, and rend. While you are afflicted, you are undead.This effect can be stopped by Armor, Purity Disease, Resist Magic, Divine Aid, COP, relevant Regionals, or a call of Knight or Mage.
Countered by: If a player is under the effects of Plague, you can help them by casting Cure Disease, Divine Aid, or relevant regionals
Fear- If hit by this, you are afraid and will flee or cower from the one that afflicted you until they are killed by someone else in your party.
Countered by: Resist Magic, Protect the Soul, Divine Aid, COP, relevant Regionals, or a call of Knight or Mage.
Rend- If hit by this call, you are dead and rendered.
Countered by: Protect the Soul (consumes the spell when used, player can choose when/if they defend with it), COP (destroys the circle i.e. disrupts use for five minutes) or a call of Knight or Mage.
Soul Fire- This is an armor piercing blow that simulates part of your soul being burned away. You will take 50 rending blows that last for the rest of the event. Any shield or weapon hit by Soul Fire, will be shattered upon contact.
Countered by: A call of Knight or Mage.
Final Strike- This will be called with a number. Example: Final Strike 5 feet. Any person within 5 feet of the one calling it will receive an armor piercing strike to all locations.
Countered by: Resist Magic, Resist Death, COP, or a call of Knight or Mage.
Lacerate- If lacerate hits you (not your weapon or shield) you are cursed. Once affected, you are in horrible pain and lose the will to fight as you slowly bleed to death. Upon being hit, you begin a 120 second count. If the count reaches 120, you are rendered. This spell can be stopped by Resist Magic, Resist Death, relevant regionals, or a call of Knight or Mage.
Countered by: While a player is under the effects of Lacerate, you can help them by casting 3 raises into them (regulars or combat), Divine Aid, or relevant regionals.
