Event Description

Friends, Heroes, and Good Adventurers of the Realms,

To celebrate the resilience and prosperity of the Kingdom, His Majesty Sir Alexander Cecil has invoked a tradition which has been passed down to us through every Chimeronian monarch: The Great Hunt! Join us in our fields and in our forests for this most noble sport of Hunting (it), Killing (it), and Eating (it)!

We recommend that you form hunting parties of six to eight people for this most exciting endeavor. Too big of a party risks spooking the quarry, while a party too small will be hard-pressed to take down many of the beasts. At the end of the day, you and your party will sit down together to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables, and meats) of your efforts! Of course we don’t intend to let anyone go hungry, so we will have a small selection of basic dishes available for everyone.

Come prepared! This is no ordinary Hunt and you will not face ordinary prey.

Rules Changes and Notes

(Update as of 5/24: Event cost reduced; dietary restriction submission deadline extended again.)

To pay for this event via PayPal, please send money to paypal.me/kbelsito. Be sure to select "for friends and family" so that we aren't charged a processing fee. Assistance is available--please contact the EH if the event fee is challenging for you.

We guarantee accommodations for all dietary restrictions that are registered before noon on June 2nd. The best way to share your restrictions with us is to write them down in the “medical information” section of your RealmsNet profile and then register for this event online. You do not need to pay for the event in advance in order to have your dietary restrictions accommodated.

Hunt It! Kill it! Eat it! is a once-in-a-generation feast event that will make you work for your food. You and your hunting party will be working together all day and will be served dinner as a group. It would be wise to party up with people who share your tastes in food. If you have a much more restrictive diet than the other people you are hunting with (and you’ve sent us your restrictions before May 16th), we will be prepared to accommodate you.

The day will be full of opportunities to Hunt many things. When your hunting party Kills something, the party will receive a token to represent it. You will know what kind of dish you will get to Eat with each token (e.g. appetizer, side, entree, desert, etc.) and whether or not it is compatible with your dietary restrictions.

Following the conclusion of the Great Hunt, you will have approximately one hour to exchange tokens with other hunting parties and submit your final collection to the kitchen. Afterwards, you and your party will sit down together and our kitchen will serve you as a group based on the tokens you’ve collected.

This is not a plated feast; you will need to bring your own feast gear.
