Rules Changes and Notes

Yes, this event is scheduled for a Monday. Fortunately, it’s Patriot’s Day!

If you intend to PC this event, it would be in your best interest to send us your paid pre-reg before 11:59pm on April 3…

This is the final event in the current Thursday Night Questing plotline. If you are new to the Realms or missed the previous events in this series, worry not! This event will be just as engaging for players who are new to the plot as it will be for our returning players.

If you attended your first Realms event after 2019 and are still working on filling out your spell build, you may use your full theoretical build for at this event. If you choose to do this, you will be required to demonstrate an adequate understanding of every spell that is in your desired build but not your Realms-legal build when you check in at the event. You must still follow all of the rules for these spells, including Material Components. You may still learn spells at this event, but if you choose to use a theoretical build you cannot learn spells that are not part of that build.

Example: a player whose first event was Black & White 2022 is working towards becoming a two-path healer. They have already learned every spell in their first path and three spells in their second path. They know that they want another learning of Combat Raise Dead in their 4th slot, a learning of Regeneration in their 5th slot, and Cry of Life as their 6th circle spell. This player may play at this event as if they have their full build (eight legally-learned spells plus three planned spells).

If you have a character build that allows you to wear armor but you do not have a full set, we will try to provide you loaner armor. If you aren’t able to borrow appropriate armor, you may still call all of the armor you are allowed to wear. If you choose to do this, you must first check in with one of the EHs before calling theoretical armor. Spells like Repair Armor, Repair Item, etc. will still work on you and your theoretical armor. All other players who already own armor must follow the normal rules (i.e. you need to be wearing it to call it).

Special note for returning players only: if you have a TNQ build, you may choose to use that instead of your normal Realms build. The rules for that build still apply, including the requirement for an alternate spell book.
