Event Description

Good people of the Realms, TOMORROW! we’d like to invite you all to Clontarf Castle! The casino will be opening its doors and it’s a wonderful chance for all of us to sweep out the mud and enjoy one another’s company as we relax and play games together. Several Gamblers and Casino owners from across the Realms have collaborated along with the Gambler’s Guild to put this day together and we would be overjoyed if all of you partook in our hospitality.

Of course, as is normal at a casino, all are welcome to bring their gold and wager it at our various table games in hopes of hitting it big and walking away wealthy! But there is far more than that available for entertainment on this day. which will include the brand new game DINO RACING!

Most important to note is that you do not need to use your own gold to spend the whole day gambling! Because this event has a particular emphasis on teaching newer players how to play games of chance, everyone will have access to special free tokens that can be gambled with instead of using gold. These tokens will be available when you arrive and this year, they will also be available to buy for that funny green stuff. At the end of the day whatever tokens you have been able to win or just outright buy, should be converted into tickets for you to use in an auction for fabulous prizes!

When you arrive, you will receive a few things; Some gambling tokens, and some free raffle tickets. The tokens can be used to gamble at the various table games. They can also be used to purchase the raffle tickets. We will have an abundance of prizes that we will be drawn for throughout the day. With the idea that every once in a while someone will look at which items have the most tickets and draw them first. So if you see something you want, you might want to throw some tickets in early…

paid pre-regs will also get extra tokens! reg early reg often. BUT I WILL HAVE TO CUT IT OFF AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT! (ish)

In the past this event has issues a very special coin which has a value of 10 gold. At this event it can be cashed in for 20 tickets! (double what regular gold can be cashed in for!).

Gambling at casino games is of course a fun way to spend the day but there will be lots of other things to do as well:
The Stacked deck final event will take place that day. Starting around noon and going to approximately 7PM. Invites HAVE GONE OUT!

There will also be a newbie poker tournament which will be free to participate in and specifically be used to teach the many facets of such a nuanced game. To qualify for this newbie tournament, you simply have to show up on time as it starts right at 11:30. You must also have not earned any points to last years stacked deck final table. The winner of this tournament will get a free entry into a poker tournament. This entry will cover your initial chips and the dealer tip.

Also sometime around 3Pm-ish the first Stacked deck of the new season will start! This will be a 25 gold buy in for 4000 chips, with an optional 5 gold dealers tip for an additional 1000 chips. Either one 25 gold rebuy, or one 25 gold add-on will be available any time in the first hour, which will get you another 4000 chips. This tournament will last approximately 3 hours.

There will be a smattering of different table game, board game, and card game tournaments throughout the day as well. We will be a little stricter on what constitutes a fair game than in past years, but not by much.

Delicious consumables will be served throughout the day deliciously prepared by Lady Kyomi. The normal Brown and Red will be available. We will have a limited number of disposable cups and such, but you can bring your own if you wish. Please pre-reg allergies as soon as possible. Supplies are being procurred very soon. IF YOU HAVE NOT PRE REG ALLERGIES AT THIS POINT...

Some questing will be happening, I have heard of some issue with someone looking for some help with a artifact, or Bone or something. But there are strange noises coming from the basement. who knows what that will look like.

NOTE: there is going to be eating and drinking in the main hall! We have gotten permission to have food and drink but please, please be careful, we have put up an additional deposit which we would like to get back.

Also this is a dry event. [sad moose sounds]

While the room that was not able to be gotten into has continued to be locked. I feel it might be above our combined abilities for now. But several different kinds and types of puzzles have been accumulating so they might be available from time to time for auction tickets.

Speaking of Auction tickets, they and the gambling tokens, will be available for purchase with that funny green stuff. All cash raised from these will go directly towards the charity. Your Pal that can pay, and Mo, first name Ven, can both be accepted.
All funds after site and food costs will also be donated to the charity. The more people come the more money can be raised!

The charity this year is called End 68 Hours of Hunger.
Information can be found here:

https://www.end68hoursofhunger.org/

[looks around the castle, wife is not in site] and once again, I am giving you all the chance to bankrupt me. All funds raised by auction ticket, and gambling tokens, will be matched by me; Dollar for Dollar! All funds from registrations left over after site and food will be matched by me Dollar for Dollar. So you pre-reg, you buy some entertainment, you get some prizes, and together we help feed hungry kids.

if you would like to bring cans and individually wrapped food to directly dontate I will be giving gaming tokens for them. Rate to be determined, but likely very generous. "So what is really needed are meals or calorie dense nonperishavles that kids would actually like to eat. Snacks that can be broken down into individual packaging, heat and eat meals and such"

If you wish to directly paypal James Murphy please paypal Letheris@aol.com this will save some fees. But its ok if you want to pay through the site, Venmo, or even Cash at the door! We will take it all!

tldr, give us money, we give you entertainment, prizes, and delicious food and we donate a pile of money to a charity.
