Sanctuary Questing 2 Welcome to Asteria
March 29, 2025
Site was WPI HIggins Lawn - Worcester, MA.
Event Holder was Brianna Meisser.
Event Description
It has been one year since the Devourer of Truth was killed. 11 more of these foes remain. 2 of them reside in the Kingdom of Asteria, whose Princess was captured by the Devourer of Soul's Servant last fall. After a daring rescue mission by the Heroes of the Realms, King Oliver and his Knights have been able to return to the castle. But the lands are still plagued by the threat posed by the Devourers. With the Devourer of Soul down a Servant, and its newfound partnership with the Devourer of Light making the threat greater than ever, now is the time to strike. You must enter the Devourer of Souls domain and defeat it before nightfall, lest the Devourer of Light pick you off. Will you answer the call?
Event Wrap-up
IC Wrap-Up: “The Devourer’s of Light and Soul are Dead. Sir Perseus has been redeemed. The is still time to help the proto-servant of the Devourer of Soul, and efforts to do so are underway in Sanctuary. Asteria can begin the process of rebuilding. The balance shifts. On behalf of the people of Sanctuary, Thank you. Squire Margaret August of Hope and Light” OOC Wrap-up: The theme of this message is Thank You. This event is the most complicated thing our team has tried to tackle thus far, and you all took it in stride and helped bring our vision to life. A person we could not do this without is Nate C.. He has been my Head NPC for the last 3 events and has been able to fill a crucial role that I recognize is a weakness of ours. He also helped sit in plot meetings and diversify our encounters. From balancing on the fly to briefing, Nate makes the backend of these events happen and run as smoothly as possible. Adrian C., who was our cheerleader throughout this event. He helped us bounce ideas and gave us the confidence to know we were going to be able to throw this event. Maria C. and Justin T. for answering our call to sit in plot meetings when we needed extra ears. Eric W. for helping us magic marshal the wonderful ritual everyone did. To the NPCs who could not make the event due to weather or illness. Thank you for keeping yourselves safe and thanks for helping to keep our community safe. For the NPCs who were able to make the event. If I forgot anyone please let me know immediately so I can ensure you’re recognized. Nate C., Maria C., Nataliya K., MJ R., Charlotte L., Stuart E., Joey C., Adrian C., Jay W., Justin T., Justin B-H., Jake R., Derek B., Renee B., Kai Y., Jasper S., Tim M., Eric W., Arthur G., Charlie P., Greg F., Cody G., Anthony Q., David R.. With MJ, Maria, and Nataliya doing wonderful as our BBEGs. As well as a thank you for John R., Zachary E., Kathy F., and Eric S. for swapping to NPCing for the night quest. On that note. The amount of people who were willing to swap to NPCing if we needed is astonishing. I’m incredibly humbled by the amount of support we had to make this event an amazing experience on the PC and NPC side, including from people who are actively invested in the plot line. It is literally too many people to list here, but you know who you are and you are appreciated. Thank you to those who helped us make props. Dani L. who made the amazing Perseus rig. Other people who helped with props are Owen L., Stephen S., Devon P-S., MJ R., Maria C. And for people who helped lend us props. SMAS, Kathy F., Chimeron, and Tim S.. And for John R. for bringing another Ez-Up. Also thank you to SMAS for booking us the site and letting us throw content there. On top of that, an amazing act of kindness. All the WPI students who used their meal-swipes to get people food without even being asked to do so. You guys are awesome. Thank you to everyone who helped set up and tear down. There were so many of you I can’t keep track of them all, but extra shoutout to John R. for going above and beyond and coming back to Becky’s place after the event to help us unload. And finally thank you to everyone who came. I am beyond amazed by the enthusiasm we have gotten towards this plot. We have done over 50 trials, and spent so many hours working with you all to tell this story. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart. If you would like to join our discord please shoot me or Becky a message. We have some follow-up and are excited to tease future plot as well. We tried some new stuff, we tried some old stuff, please let us know what you liked or didn't like either in a review or a message. We take all feedback and try to apply it in our future events. Until next time. The Sanctuary Questing Team
