Event Description
It's almost time for Training Day again! This is a day of peer-to-peer learning of skills and sharing knowledge like crafting, fighting, cooking, and plot developments.

#### **This event will be using the 2025 Omnibus.**

### Auction and Bake Sale
Two fundraisers to support the Pushee family will be held at this event.

The first is a bake sale held by the Order of the Spoon. Please contact Sarah Fournier (evie1111 on Discord, or sarahjeanfournier@gmail.com) if you are an Order of the Spoon member who would like to contribute to the bake sale.

There will also be a Silent Auction at Training Day. Please contact John Rescigno (mdhttr on Discord, or jjrescigno@gmail.com) if you would like to contribute an item to the auction. Event certificates, commission certificates, magic items, and other items are all welcome.

Both the Silent Auction and Bake Sale will be accepting cash, PayPal, and Venmo.

All proceeds from this fundraiser and auction, along with a donation from the Paladins Fund, will be directed towards the gift card initiative organized by Kelly Bonci. For more information about the gift card initiative, please contact her directly.

Thank you all for your generosity and support. Let’s continue to keep Janna’s light shining brightly.

### Class and Event Schedule

Classes will be running in 45 minute blocks starting on the half hour, with 15 minutes to move between classes. There will be six hours of classes, beginning at 11:30. If you missed class sign-ups, there will still be classes you can sign up for during the event. Those interested in the Knights of the Realms challenge may sign up during the event as well.

All combat classes will be ignoring restriction such that spellcasters may participate without breaking restriction.

After classes have concluded, the Knights of the Sable Dragon will be holding court, and then the auction will be called.

[Attached is a list of the classes being offered at Training Day and a schedule of said classes.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V5jbTaobiJWvH4vsqzDFcHfuScNjE3UrTaDIUhv6rdU/edit?usp=sharing) Directions to classrooms will be provided at the event.

### Food

Six courses of finger food/light food will be going around to classrooms during this event, with first service beginning at 12:30 pm.

### Regionals

1st. **A Basic Understanding**
Uses: 3 - Verbal: 10 words
This spell can be cast on anyone. The recipient may now call out “Fighter’s Intuition” once. When the recipient does this, they may or may not learn information about a monster they can see. It is up to the event staff to decide to provide this information or not. The information can be anything: weakness, methods of defeating, or even what the NPC likes to eat. If the event staff does not provide any information about the monster, the use of the spell is not expended and the recipient may attempt to use it again.

2nd. **A Logical Conclusion**
Uses: 2 - Verbal: Talk to EH or MM
After spending a minimum of 5 minutes studying a scene or materials the spellcaster may obtain extra information from the EH or MM. The information will be based around the information studied by the spellcaster and may be as detailed as the marshal chooses it to be. (Use Dream as a point of reference.)

3rd. **Check the Sources**
Uses: 4
The next time you or a spellcaster of your choice casts a Guidance, Fortune Tell, Precognition, Find the Path, Foretell, Séance, Vision, or Prophecy spell you may expend a use of this spell to find out if the result was skewed in any way. This spell can not be manipulated.

4th. **Find the Truth**
Uses: 1- Verbal: 10 words - Material: 30-foot rope
Any Guidance, Fortune Tell, Precognition, Find the Path, Foretell, Séance, Vision, or Prophecy spells cast from within this circle cannot have the result manipulated.
Casters and rituals must be fully contained within the circle to gain benefits from this spell. If the rope is moved or the circle is broken, the spell ends.

5th. **Learn from the Past**
Uses: 2 - Verbal: 40 words - Active: Touch the object you wish to learn about
You may ask to learn about the past of a person, place, or thing that you can touch. The object being touched becomes the focus for the spell and the caster will receive loose visions of past events centered around the focus. Anything that is not the focus of the spell will appear as if being viewed through foggy glass.

If it is a person you will gain insights into things that might have happened to that person to bring them to their current place.

In the case of a place you will receive information about notable events that transpired in that location. This will not tell you exactly who or what was there, but hints may be given.

In the case of a thing you will gain information about it and how it was used in the past or how it might have gotten to a specific location.

6th. **A Quick Study**
Uses: 2
Allows the spellcaster to gain one casting of any spell up to Fifth Circle, chosen at the time of casting. The spell gained must be cast following the rules for that spell, including VC, MC, and ACs. This spell cannot be used to cast Implement, Strange Brew, Animal Companion, Familiar, or spell alternatives.

Event Wrap-up
Thank you to everyone who helped with and attended Training Day 2! I am told that the event turnout was so large that there were cars nearly down to the road. We of course would not have had as full and vibrant a day without any of you, but special thanks go to the following:

First, thank you to the KoSD knights and squires and the Wyvern College staff and students who attended many meetings before the event to set us up for success: Andrew K, Becky B, Bri M, Brooke T, Dani L, Eric S, John R, Justin B-H, Kai Y, Kanik H, Keith P-P, Nixon S, Owen L, and Zack E. All of these folks also helped during the event. Additionally thank you to Anna H, Charlie P, Ed D, and Justin T for running the reg desk and generally being available to help with anything that needed doing during the event.

Thank you to the kitchen staff who made delicious food throughout the day: Dani L as the Feastocrat, along with Emma S, Greg F, Jamie B, Liz B, Matt Butler, and Paul T, and assisted by Anna H.

*Dani L. would like to add:*
"I’d like to take just a quick moment to thank all of the kitchen staff who helped in the kitchen for a second year in a row, without all of you none of this would be possible. Thank you for rolling with the punches and truly helping these dishes come to life. And a quick thank you to my lovely partner, Ben L., for really being a pillar not only with Sage but for me as well throughout the entire day of and leading up to the event. I appreciate you greatly."

Thank you to those who ran the auction and bake sale: John R and Staycee R, and Sarah F, Beth T, and Rhiannon C. Thank you also to those who bought items and donated money. The auction alone brought in over $2000.

*Sarah F also adds:*
"I’d like to thank the many members of the Order of the Spoon who donated their time and culinary skills to make delicious treats for the Bake Sale. With such a massive display of desserts to choose from, everyone got to find something they were excited about, and it couldn’t have been done without you all. A special thank you goes out to Rhiannon/Tria who went above and beyond in making sure the table operated smoothly all day, and for helping with set-up and breakdown.
I’d also like to thank the generous players who enjoyed all of the baked goods and shared so many kind remarks. Through the bake sale, we were able to raise $404 in cash for the Pushee family, and even more through Paypal/Venmo. It’s incredibly heartwarming to see the Realms come together like this in honor of our friend Janna and their family.
Finally, thank you Training Day staff for allowing us the opportunity to give back in this way, and thank you Kelly Bonci for organizing the fundraising efforts.
Thank you all once again for your generosity and support. It is an honor to be a part of such a caring community.
With gratitude,
Sarah/Evie
Chairwoman of the Order of the Spoon"

Thank you Knights of the Realms, for running your challenge throughout the day: James M, Jason R, Kathy F, Keith C, Lani J, Pat B, Sean V, and Tucker N.

Finally, thank you to those who taught classes. The event literally would not be possible in its current format without you. Thank you for teaching, Amber F, Becky B, Beth T, Briar S, Brooke T, Charlie P, Dan D, Eric W, Ethan G, Ethan K, Hillary F (I was told the notes were incredibly useful!), James M, Jason R, John R, Kai Y, Kathy F, Keith C, Kim C, Lani J, Maria C, Mike P, Nate C, Nora R, Renee B, Ryan W, Sawyer J, Tanner W, Travis W, and Tucker N.

I can’t wait to see you all at next year’s Training Day!
