Chimeron’s annual masquerade ball in celebration of the Day of the Dead. The day will be filled with great food, plot teasers, and fun tournaments (new and old). The night will be packed with court, dancing, and yet more food and plotting. Grab your mask and fancy clothes; come join us for the Black and White Ball!
To the esteemed ones who make their homes in the mortal Realms, and to their honored guests:
On behalf of the Protectors of Tír na nÓg, I would welcome you to these lands, to enter, explore, and, perhaps, establish yourselves within.
Some among your number have already come to help the first new village of the living, and it has weathered its first winter. Now, when the veil is thinnest, we have come to visit, and invite you to do the same.
At the celebration that is the Black & White Masquerade ball, our gates will open at the edge of your forest, until the Sun begins to set. Our requests are simple:
- Respect the living and the dead
- Do not wield the magics forged from hate against us
- Do not bar others who would obey our requests from our lands
There are already those among you bearing gifts born of our lands. Come, and see > what you may find.

Sir Tao will be hosting a Stacked Deck poker tournament this year! Official start time is 1pm with some flexibility, but we must finish before court. It will last approximately 3 hours. It is a 25-gold buy-in for 4000 chips. When you first buy-in, you will be given an opportunity to buy 1000 extra chips for 5 gold. this 5 gold will go directly to the dealer as a tip. Six 30-minute blinds will be used.
REBUYS: unlimited 25 gold rebuys for the first hour any time your stack is at 2000 chips or less. Regardless of your stack size at the end of the first hour anyone can do a 25 gold for one 4000 chip add on.
Black and White will have a baking contest again this year! As with previous years, competitors should bake their creations beforehand, to be judged at Black and White itself.
This year, the challenge is brownies and variations on brownies. We’ll take brownies with fillings, brownies with toppings, cakey brownies, fudgey brownies, and more. The only brownies we will not taste test are the ones who come help clean your house. All others will be happily accepted and judged.

In addition:
We are seeking desserts for the dessert table! If you would like the Realms to know about your baking (or other dessert making skills) bring something in! This portion is not a competition. One may enter the competition and contribute additional desserts, but neither are required in order to do the other. If you would like to bring a dessert please let me know at least a week in advance of the event (so by the 18th of October) as I would like to print out allergen information. Alternatively printing your own allergen information would be much appreciated.
(Do not include nuts in the non-competition desserts either, please.)
You can reach me best preferably on discord (@kellyfern) or secondarily email (perfettok@comcast.net).

Dietary restrictions should be pre-regged by 10/15. If you reg a dietary restriction and do not receive a list of "safe" dishes by 10/20, please let me (Ian) know. Common alergens will be noted placards as per usual.
Please park in the lower lot (Child Development Center), as there is very little space in the upper lot and we need to save it for staff (since they are transporting event stuff / staying late to clean up) and those who really need to park close. If you need to confirm you fall into one of those categories, please contact me.
