Event Description

WILL YOU TEST YOUR RESOLVE?

In 2002 a new Realms experience was created.

Designed to be more than just a regular tournament.

To prove more than just fighting skill.

To test the very limits of the ultimate Realmsie.

The event PRESSURE POINT was first held.

Contestants pushed themselves to the ultimate limit. They found resolve they didn’t know they possesed. They created bonds with their teammates that would endure for a lifetime. They triumphed over every weakness they thought they had. And in the end, whether they won or not, they celebrated the achievement of the human spirit that was completing the event.

Only twice more since that inaugural event did competitors return to push themselves to that ultimate extent. It was a rare and special occasion to be able to take the field at a PRESSURE POINT and only a few brave souls across the generations of the Realms have risen to the challenge.

Now, in 2026, almost a quarter century since the first PRESSURE POINT, once more will the event be held.

Once more will Realmsies come forth to show the best of what they can be.

Once more will they forge indelible bonds with their teammates.

Once more will they demonstrate the triumph of the human spirit over adversity.

For twenty-four uninterrupted hours they will enter the gauntlet, brave the crucible, step into the arena, climb the mountain…

And what awaits on the other side?

You’ll find out if you have the resolve to join them.

This event tests your limits in many ways. It will involve physical and mental exertion. It will involve endurance. You should be prepared for strenuous activities.

Players will be broken up into teams of up to 8 to compete in a variety of challenges designed to test the players speed, strength, power, intelligence, and dexterity and most of all determination.

You will be expected to stay awake for 24 hours while you and your team compete in various tournaments.

You will get wet and/or dirty during this event. PC's should bring bathing suits or a change of clothes for after completion. There will be no time given to change into your bathing suit before wet challenges begin.

The event will begin with a competition to determine the four team captains. Participation in competing to be a captain is optional.

The event will begin exactly at 12:00 noon on Saturday. If you are not on site and prepared to begin at noon you may not complete to be a captain. We suggest getting to site earlier as all bags will be searched for contraband.

All players must be on site and ready to compete by 12:30pm or risk losing points.

For the dinner competition, each player may bring one single ingredient with them that they know they like to eat. Each team will be given a time period in which they must prepare a meal to be judged as well as make a meal for your team to share. The basic cooking supplies will be provided for you while specialty items can be won earlier in the day.

The event content will end at 12:00 pm on Sunday. After a short awards ceremony the bunk houses will be available to sleep in until 6pm to allow people to rest before they drive home.
