All Hallow’s Eve

“Come one, come all, to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve! We have provided a festival for all to enjoy. All Hallow’s Eve is when the veil of the mortal realm and the dead is at its thinnest. There will be candy, and surely no tricks will occur that might require a quest to retrieve treats. We will have a bar run by Alder with special seasonal treats of the alcoholic and non-alcoholic variety, as well as the Chimeron Casino and Stacked deck available. During the festivities attendees may change their physical form as they please, and we will have a contest for the best shapeshifting.

We hope to see as many of you to celebrate this thrilling night.

But don’t party too hard as there will be a rousing quest in the morning.”

A Splinter in the Heart of the Earth: Entropy’s Requiem Part I

“There is a splinter in the heart of the earth, and it must be dealt with soon.

A year and a half ago, a powerful artifact from my world known as a Shard of the Progenitor’s Blade was discovered spreading uncontrollable growth and bringing the forests around it to life. In the course of resolving the issue, the heroes of the Realms placed it in the care of Gaia, who hid it deep underground.

But it seems even Gaia cannot contain this power. It has continued its Rampant growth in a way that is harming the planet itself - already we are seeing earthquakes, erratic healing magic, and mutated creatures in the area of central Chimeron where the Shard lies beneath, and it will only increase exponentially the longer it stays. An organization known as the Apostles of the End have declared that they can and will deal with this problem, but I know that there are many of you who do not trust them - so if you wish to have any say in the Shard’s fate, you must reach it before them.

I have seen the heroes of the Realms accomplish many things, so I have faith that you will succeed. Do what you feel is right. Oh, and some Gaians should definitely go along - they’ll probably be needed to get through the wards.”

OOC: This is the first full event in the Entropy’s Requiem plot series! While it is the result of the events of the Saturday day quest of Feast of Chimeron XXIX, no past knowledge of the plot is required and this is a perfect jumping-in point for anyone new. While those who have been following the plot in its prior appearances will see references to past events and recurring mechanics, it is intended to be approachable to those who have not been involved. If you like exciting stories, moral conundrums, or the concepts of growth and decay, come questing!

Underground Rum Run, brought to you by The Mines

Sunday’s completely unrelated and frivolous content will be a tunnel-running rescue mission for all the bottles of beverages that are destined to be served at The Mines – the underground speakeasy that Vesper, Jasper and Makhta are attempting to establish. Players may choose to be IC or to NPC for the goblin/bandit team or as wandering monsters. Lighthearted fun is the vibe of the day. Any magic items passed for Entropy’s Requiem will work on Sunday, but there will be all new regionals and possibly some wonky calls and mechanics which we’ll review on site.

The Tavern building has low hanging ceilings with lights, only weapons 5' or shorter will be permitted in the tavern.

There are to be NO PEANUTS or peanut products at this event. Our magic marshal has an airborne allergy, and we would like him to stay healthy and safe to marshal your doom.

Friday only- All PCs can use the spell Shapeshift at will. You must provide your own costuming. Feel free to bring anachronistic costumes if you wish but be prepared to roleplay accordingly.

We will be having a Potluck dinner for Friday night only. The sign up sheet is attached with all necessary information needed. We ask if you bring something to also have it clearly labeled with any possible allergens so folks with allergies and sensitivities are aware of what is being served. People are responsible to bring their own serving utensils for their own dish.

On Friday, the site will be “damp” and will have a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You must be 21+ to partake in alcoholic beverages and must provide a valid licence. We will be providing wristbands for those who have provided proof of age. Saturday/Sunday will be a dry site.

We will be implementing a version of the standard Chimeron and Friends party rules:

1. Do not make an ass of yourself. Do not come close to making an ass of yourself.
2. There may be kids around - do not make their parents regret not killing you when they had the chance.
3. No underage use of substances. Regardless of anyone's personal philosophy on the matter, we have too many people with careers that could be ended if they were ever associated with underage use.

Also Friday:
Stacked deck tournament 25 Gold Buy In, 4000 chips, 10G dealer tip for 1000 chips. Standard Blinds, Rebuys when below 1000 chips, or at the end of the 3rd blind.

Fog Machine warning, a fog machine will be used on Friday and potentially Saturday during a few sections. If you are allergic or sensitive to a fog machine please let staff know.

This is the old Sterling site under new management.

There is no potable water currently on-site. We will be providing some water, but be prepared to bring your own.

Carry-in, Carry-out. Do not litter and thoroughly check your camping area before you leave. All Garbage must be brought off site do not use the trash cans, all must be brought out with you.

Smoking is only allowed in the designated area in the parking lot, you must dispose of your trash in the proper receptacle and failure to do so may result in being asked to leave.

No open flames are allowed within any structure on the facility. No incendiary devices or fireworks are allowed. All open fires shall be within provided fire pits, attended at all times and completely extinguished whenever unattended.

No drinking of alcoholic beverages will be permitted on this site without expressed permission by site. Assume site is dry unless specified by the EH staff

Camping is allowed in designated areas only.

Parking is available against the wall near the entrance. Please do not leave your cars in your camp area.

No swimming in the pond.

NOISE IS TO BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM AFTER 10PM, the site is adjacent to a small residential area.

ALL TRASH MUST BE PICKED UP AND REMOVED. Failure to do so will likely result in the site owner refusing to rent to any LARP again.

Site must be completely clean by 3pm on Sunday.
