Friday: Summer Solstice Festival

Welcome all as we celebrate the summer solstice for the year with a weekend long celebration ending with the tournaments of the branch. The lovely port city of Clayburgh is hosting the festivities all weekend. The Church of Aurora welcomes everyone to a festival to celebrate the longest day of the year. We will be having festival games to earn prizes, a casino, stories over fire and many other fun activities.

Last Rites for the Dead King: Entropy's Requiem Interlude

“In the spot where Entropy first entered this world lies Castle Requiem, a manifestation of the memory of the world consumed. From it have manifested some of the world’s people as well, primarily the Third Army of Ranterra, a fighting force of a once proud kingdom who have had to adapt to life in the Realms, our country and world long gone. Several years on since our arrival, we still struggle to move forward.

But now, we Ranterrans have heard of the heroes of the Realms’ exploits in combating Entropy last fall, and we reach out with a request. Somewhere in the woods near Requiem lies the corpse of Do’gran, former God-King of Ranterra and Avatar of Ran. He has been twisted by Entropy into a puppet of its will, a high blasphemy against a once noble man and his god. And so we request aid: to track down the dragon and put to rest this wicked heresy, so that we may perform last rites for the dead king.”

Friday:
We will be having a Potluck dinner for Friday night only. The sign up sheet is attached with all necessary information needed. We ask if you bring something to also have it clearly labeled with any possible allergens so folks with allergies and sensitivities are aware of what is being served. People are responsible to bring their own serving utensils for their own dish.

On Friday, the site will be "damp" and will have a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You must be 21+ to partake in alcoholic beverages and must provide a valid licence. We will be providing wristbands for those who have provided proof of age. Saturday/Sunday will be a dry site.

We will be implementing a version of the standard Chimeron and Friends party rules:
Do not make an ass of yourself. Do not come close to making an ass of yourself.
There may be kids around - do not make their parents regret not killing you when they had the chance.
No underage use of substances. Regardless of anyone's personal philosophy on the matter, we have too many people with careers that could be ended if they were ever associated with underage use.

Blackthorn Bar
The Blackthorn Bar will be available Friday night only and will be serving the following beverages for coin or green.

Auroran Sunset: tequila, lemonade, ginger syrup, soda water, creme de cassis

Blackthorn Punch (Karkadeh): hibiscus, orange & mint syrup, orange juice

Lemonade (sparkling and syrups optional)

Saturday:
Saturday will have a Stacked Deck Tournament: 25 Gold Buy In, 4000 Chips, 10G Dealer tip for 1000 chips. Standard Blinds, Rebuys when below 1000 Chips, or at the end of the 3rd blind.

Altar to Diskordia - This altar allows your character to go under a drastic change to your character's abilities, with possible temporary consequences! (Please plan accordingly with weapons and spell components, as they will not be provided.)
Altar to Rawonam - Magical folk may set aside their access to magic for the day in order to safely wield any legal weapons and wear armor unrestricted
Altar to Antioch - Those who wish to pick up magic for the day may leave a weapon, piece of armor, or other combat focus to gain his blessings

Items of Antiquity - These are temporary in house items that will lose their magic at the end of Saturday.

Golden Tickets - These are non-stealable but tradable items. When 5 are turned into the shop you may turn an item of antiquity into an in house item. When 10 are turned into the shop you may turn an in house or item of antiquity into a backed magic item for 1 year.

This is the old Sterling site under new management.

There is no potable water currently on-site. We will be providing some water, but be prepared to bring your own.

Carry-in, Carry-out. Do not litter and thoroughly check your camping area before you leave. All Garbage must be brought off site do not use the trash cans, all must be brought out with you.

Smoking is only allowed in the designated area in the parking lot, you must dispose of your trash in the proper receptacle and failure to do so may result in being asked to leave.

No open flames are allowed within any structure on the facility. No incendiary devices or fireworks are allowed. All open fires shall be within provided fire pits, attended at all times and completely extinguished whenever unattended.

No drinking of alcoholic beverages will be permitted on this site without expressed permission by site. Assume site is dry unless specified by the EH staff

Camping is allowed in designated areas only.

Parking is available against the wall near the entrance. Please do not leave your cars in your camp area.

No swimming in the pond.

NOISE IS TO BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM AFTER 10PM, the site is adjacent to a small residential area.

ALL TRASH MUST BE PICKED UP AND REMOVED. Failure to do so will likely result in the site owner refusing to rent to any LARP again.

Site must be completely clean by 3pm on Sunday.
