The Gilded Lion and Silver Branch Summer Festival V

On a small plot of land on the border between Chimeron and Rhiassa there is a humble but busy construction site. There, preparations are being made for a celebration. With the coming Summer Solstice also comes a time for comradery and merriment. A chance to enjoy many kinds of festivities and delicious food. A day with workshops, gambling, games, and tournaments. A day for everyone to relax together and deepen our bonds of friendship.

Hello everyone!

One of the exciting things about The Gilded Lion and Silver Branch Summer Festival is how we can offer time to different parts of the community to bring their plot and other content to a diverse audience. We’ve worked over the past couple of weeks to connect with different plot holders and have arranged a basic schedule of what is going on. We will publicize that schedule in the next couple weeks as well as post it on social media.

As always one of our goals of this event is to bring you elevated festval foods throughout the day as well as serve you lunch and dinner, so come hungry!

Planned Schedule and Content (subject to change):

Noon:

• Group tournaments of Martial Skill under the direction of Sir Grindin and Sir Killian.

• All day: Gambling Tables from the Clontarf Casino.

1:00

• Theoretical Start Time for the Stacked Deck Tournament.

• Sir Grindin and Sir Killian’s group tournaments continue.

1:30

• Lunch from the Rhiassa Kitchen alongside mocktails from the Lion’s Oasis Summer Bar which will continue to be open all day.

2:00

• Stonewood Presents: A way has been opened to the forbidden city occupied by the reapers. Now is a chance to strike a decisive blow and possibly gain some important information.

• Dinosaur Jousting Tournament hosted by Sir Aeston.

3:00

• The Sanctuary Questing Team Presents: At training day a notice went out about the potential to retrieve some Cryodinium and keep it out of the grasp of the Phantom Empire. With the revelation of their new super weapon being created by the mined material, the time to strike is now. Assemble your team, and be prepared for anything.

• Olivia Bishop Presents: A Boon for a Rainy Day. Find yourselves back in the Fortress of Doors in a long hallway overrun by something truly putrid. Channel your inner scientist and you may find unexpected help.

4:00

• The Heirs to the Realms Presents: Return to the Forgotten Library

• Arken presents: What Was Left Behind. After the most recent Expedition into the mirror, it was closed behind us. Now, we are hearing rumors of some things that might have slipped through undetected, and request aid once again. Bring your gear as we look to find what was left and has been hiding.

5:00:

• Hellfire Productions presents: The Ashenmark Cheese Thief and Their Army of Rats. The rumors don’t lie! Anguished cheese merchants swear that an army of rats has mobilized to steal precious Ashenmark cheese from right under their noses! Some even say the rats are led by a mysterious foodie or tax evader who wants the title of Cheese Baron for themselves! We must put an end to the malcheesance!

6:00:

• Dinner from the Rhiassan Kitchen followed by dessert.

• The Festival Prize Ceremony.

Stacked Deck Tournamnet Information:

40 gold entry, with one 40 gold rebuy/add-on. 6000 chips to start with an extra 1000 available if you tip the dealer 10 gold. One rebuy in the first hour. You can only do this if your chip stack is at 3000 chips or less. And at the end of the first hour, anyone regardless of chip stack can do a 40 gold 6000 chip add on if they wish. Every rebuy/add on can also include the dealer tip.

This tournament will last approximately 3 hours. It will start when we have 8 players signed up.

Announcement: Heirs to the Realms

Heirs to the Realms, to me!

A mysterious phenomenon is being observed throughout the Realms. Folks are calling them Age Lines, magical wards that adults cannot cross. Young adventurers are being summoned to investigate these strange wards and the mysteries that lie beyond.

Heirs to the Realms is a miniquesting series dedicated to providing quality, meaningful, age-appropriate adventuring experiences for the younger players in our game. This Rhiassan-led initiative seeks to help bridge the generational divide between players by promoting a standard path of age-limited Regional magic to make gameplay more accessible to our younger friends, building comradery among players of all ages, and priming our young adventurers for their future questing careers.

The third Heirs to the Realms miniquest will be debuting at the Gilded Lion Summer Festival on June 6th. EHs who are interested in having HttR content or Regional magic at their event should reach out to Brookelyn Tilton via Discord or Facebook Messenger to coordinate.
