Event Description
The city of Kenkilit welcomes you to the Church of Aurora for the wedding of Champion Tirvanel Fuller and Priestess Lightbringer Margaret August. Enjoy a day of merriment, light questing, and food with friends as we celebrate the union between these two Aurorans. An evening ceremony will be followed by court and the annual Voranian Ritual of Renewal. We look forward to seeing you there.
Event Wrap-up
While our OOC wedding was small and chaotic, this event was also chaotic in the best of ways. This has been a difficult year as we've had to navigate health and social changes, so being able to celebrate one another in the presence of our community was incredibly special.

While we want to thank everyone who came in spite of the Voraniss weather budget being in full effect, there are a few specific thank yous we want to highlight.

To Matt D. When we decided to throw a wedding event, we knew that neither of us should be the EH. You took on the role and ran with it, organizing questing, ordering chaos, and making sure things ran smoothly. Well. As smoothly as they can with our friend group.

Jason G. and the kitchen crew of Cal M. and Alex S. Making a feast that is Bri friendly is not an easy task. But you guys took it in stride, and my only regret is that I was too anxious to eat more of it despite your efforts to keep me fed.

Renee B. for agreeing to officiate for us. Your words were more touching than anything I could have written, and made everything feel truly special.

Matt D., Renee B, Derek B., Adam B., Emma H., Kathy F., and Matt M., for your work running questing and NPCing those quests. You managed to entertain an entire site with just a small crew, doing so in a way that was incredibly culturally meaningful and special.

To our wedding party. Your support has been incredible and I am so happy we were able to celebrate this with you. You all are such wonderful friends and family. So thank you.

Matt N. for getting *gorgeous* photos. As someone who finds themself not particularly photogenic, having pictures where I actually am proud of my own appearance is something so incredibly difficult to capture, which makes it all the more meaningful.

To our crafters! We have such talented crafters in our community and I was so excited to have their work as part of our celebration. Justin T. who made Tir’s chest plate, Ella S. who made Margaret’s veil, Anthony Q. who made all the wedding swords, Kit M. who made the baldrics, and Zack E. who helped with the finishing work on the lanterns.

Ella S. for getting a recording of court as part of the current initiative to document knightings.

For ensuring site was left cleaner than we left it, especially Tim M., Matt D., Jason G., Eric W., and Tim S., who stayed until the end to ensure trash was taken care of and bathrooms were clean.

And to everyone else who helped in all of the small ways that are difficult to capture but make an event possible. From displaying decorations to helping with trash cleanup and more.

With so much love
~ Bri and David
