Good people of the Realms, on the 9th day of the 5th month of 1026 we’d like to invite you all to Clontarf Castle! The casino will be opening its doors and it’s a wonderful chance for all of us to sweep out the mud and enjoy one another’s company as we relax and play games together. Several Gamblers and Casino owners from across the Realms have collaborated along with the Gambler’s Guild to put this day together and we would be overjoyed if all of you partook in our hospitality. It is a Saturday this year!

Of course, as is normal at a casino, all are welcome to bring their gold and wager it at our various table games in hopes of hitting it big and walking away wealthy! But there is far more than that available for entertainment on this day.

Most important to note is that you do not need to use your own gold to spend the whole day gambling! Because this event has a particular emphasis on teaching newer players how to play games of chance, everyone will have access to special free tokens that can be gambled with instead of using gold. These tokens will be available when you arrive. Again this year, they will also be available to buy for that funny green stuff. At the end of the day whatever tokens you have been able to win or just outright buy, should be converted into tickets for you to use in an auction for fabulous prizes!

When you arrive, you will receive a few things; Some free gambling tokens, and some free raffle tickets, and one free very special raffle ticket for a blue item. Only the one ticket you get at check in will be available for this raffle. The tokens can be used to gamble at various table games. They can also be used to purchase raffle tickets. We will have an abundance of prizes that we will be drawn for throughout the day. With the idea that every once in a while, someone will look at which items have the most tickets and draw them first. In the past this event has issued a very special coin which has a value of 10 gold. At this event it can be cashed in for 20 tickets! (double what regular gold can be cashed in for!).
Sir Aeston Stromgate has been training some more dino’s for the race track and will be offering wagers on the outcome of races. However, he has not gotten around to naming the Dino’s and will be asking for help in this regard.

Gambling at casino games is of course a fun way to spend the day but there will be lots of other things to do as well:

We will also be featuring the Stacked deck final table: Starting around 1:00 PM and going approximately 7 hours. This is the invitation-only tournament for the top 16 players from the last 2ish years. You will have received a correspondence from Sir Tao if you have qualified for this event.
However, if you did not qualify (or get out of the main event early) We will be holding the first stacked deck tournament of the new season. Starting when we get 8 players after the main event starts. if we have time we might run multiple tournaments.
25 gold entry, with 25 gold rebuys/add-ons. 4000 chips to start with an extra 1000 available if you tip the dealer 10 gold. Unlimited rebuys in the first hour any time your chip stack is at 2000 chips or less. And at the end of the first hour, anyone regardless of chip stack can do a 25 gold 4000 chip add on if they wish. Every rebuy/add on can also include the dealer tip.

There will also be a newbie poker tournament which will be free to participate in and specifically be used to teach the many facets of such a nuanced game. To qualify for this newbie tournament, you simply have to show up on time as it starts right at noon! You must also have not earned any points to the current stacked deck final table competition. The winner of this tournament will get a free entry into 25 gold poker tournament. This entry will cover your initial chips and the dealer tip. (rebuys or add on’s are up to you!) this tournament is technically a 5 gold entry however all entries will be sponsored by Sir Tao. If there is any extra gold after awarding the winner enough to enter the tournament it will go to second place.

There will be a smattering of different table game, board games, and card game tournaments throughout the day as well. Offering the first (as far as Sir Tao can remember) 9-Ball tournament; details announced day of.

Delicious consumables will be served throughout the day deliciously prepared by Lady Kyomi Order of the Spoon.

Note: the Normal auction tickets and the gambling tokens; will be available for purchase with that funny green stuff. All cash raised from these will go directly towards the charity. Your Pal that can pay, and Mo, first name Ven, can both be accepted.

All funds, after site and food costs will also be donated to the charity. The more people attend, the more money can be raised!
