IC: Under the midnight moon, the fire will rise, the drinks will flow, and merriment will echo throughout the land.
In Shadowdragon, a new species of creature has made itself welcome: Almirajes, carrying the weight of an entire tavern on their backs. Their happy, quiet purrs fill the air as they approach Heartwood Bay. This base camp for the Broken Spears Free Company will serve as host for Evie’s Tavern as its occupants prepare for a great celebration: The Midnight Festival.
Within the tavern, glowing crystals, baskets of fruit, coal, wood, pickles, and other supplies line the walls. The foundational efforts done for the festival last year were a grand success, leaving much less work to do this time around. The bar is fully stocked, and the scent of freshly baked dessert wafts from the kitchen.
On the horizon, Initiates, Elites, Knights and Elders of the Lunar Aegis can be seen preparing the land with flags and banners. The Tournaments of the Lunar Aegis will take place during the Midnight Festival, and it is sure to be a grand show of battle prowess, camaraderie, and excitement.
The thumping sounds of almiraj paws dwindle as they arrive at their destination. Preparations for the Midnight Festival will soon be underway.
Summer is here, and it's time to revel under the moon!
OOC: We are incredibly excited to present a social/tournament event unlike any you’ve ever seen!
The Lunar Aegis is thrilled to host our very first tournaments at the Midnight Festival! Join us on Saturday as we debut the Tournaments of the Lunar Aegis! Gather your chosen partner and prepare for a day of friendly competition, mentorship, and connection both on and off the field. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or newer to the game, these tournaments are designed to celebrate the strength of our community and the bonds we build through fighting, learning, and growing together.
Throughout the day, duos will face a variety of challenges, from partner-based competitions to larger mixed-team events where cooperation and creativity will be just as important as martial skill. Expect a blend of familiar favorites and exciting new activities designed to bring people together.
Come with a fun field name for your duo and a willingness to step outside your usual circle! We especially encourage participants to partner with someone they may not often have the opportunity to fight alongside.
If you prefer to enjoy battles from the sidelines, there will be plenty of non-combat tournaments to participate in as well! Throughout the event, Evie’s Tavern will be selling fanciful drinks, and our incredible line-up of vendors will have hundreds of wares to peruse! Twenaria has curated a phenomenal menu of picnic snacks to be sampled throughout the day, and we’ll break for dinner around 6. The night time activities will be ready around 7:30/8!
In the evening, the Midnight Festival will be in full swing. There will be plenty of carnival games to play, drinks to enjoy, stargazing, and dancing. Whether you want to browse the marketplace, gamble at the Moonlight Casino, snack in the tavern, celebrate around the fire, or just soak in the atmosphere, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
We are absolutely elated to put on this event, and cannot wait to see you!
We are operating on a sliding-scale basis for registration! We want to make this event as affordable as possible, and $25 is the absolute minimum we can charge to cover the cost of the site. Any donations on top of that are really appreciated to help cover costs of food, etc!
