Event Description

Hear ye! Hear ye! Adventurers of these Realms!

By decree of the Crown, Chimeron will host the Tournaments of the Branch again this year 1026 on the 21st day of June. Join us in the port town of Clayburgh for a day of armored combat tourneys and refined arts and science competitions!

We are excited to announce the return of the Champion of Champions Invitational! Each adventurer who rightfully claims the title of Champion for their nation, kingdom, or faith is hereby invited to prove their mettle against their fellows in arms. Each Champion may only represent one group, must be accompanied by a standard bearer carrying the banner of that group, and must additionally present a writ verifying their Champion status signed by the highest authority (or authorities) of that group.

Additionally, those attending to compete in and spectate the festivities are encouraged to arrive with their finest accoutrements and creature comforts! Groups will be allotted space to set up their seating and shade around the main tourney ring according to the number of attendees they have registered by the 10th of June. Each section will be scored for comfort, aesthetics, refinement, and thematic cohesion - by discerning Chimeronian judges, of course.

Full written rules and other details for the tourneys will be sent to your nearest local seat of government for those who wish to familiarize themselves with requirements and expectations in advance.

Following the precedent of the previous years, the combat lists and arts and sciences tournaments will be split between Knights and Unbelted competitors. Should there be sufficient Unbelted entrants, the Unbelted category will be further split into Attendants and Untitled competitors. Those who may claim Knighthood in any Order of these Realms may compete in the Knight bracket whether that Order traditionally use the title of Knight or not. Attendants as well may come from any Order so long as they are the recognized student of an Order. Last but certainly not least, the Untitled are any who do not claim any title within the ranks of any Order.

As with prior years, magic and armor will be permitted in the lists and competitors must be heralded at the start of the day and leading into any final bouts they qualify for. Magical folk may again set aside their access to magic for the day at the Altar of Rawonam in order to safely wield any legal weapons and wear armor unrestricted, and likewise those who wish to pick up magic for the day may leave a weapon, piece of armor, or other combat focus at the Altar of Antioch to gain his blessings.

For those attending the gathering of heroes the day prior, a tenting field will be made available and a nearby tavern has graciously agreed to allow spectators and competitors alike access to their restrooms. Any questions about accommodations and stabling of horses for the weekend may be directed to Sir Laika.

We look forward to seeing you and your heralds on the field.

Lord Sir Tara Harkon

OOC:

Chimeron is pleased to welcome you once again to a day of top-notch contests of skill, knowledge, and creativity! We will be providing a dayboard and we aim to wrap up early enough for folks to get dinner together off-site (or head home to eat if that's more your speed).

Pre-registration is not required, but doing so before June 15th will allow your group to have more space around the main tourney ring for their Encampment entry (and for you to sit in)! if you are not affiliated with a group participating in the Encampment tourney, we will have space for you to set a chair or blanket around the main tourney ring.

Vendors! If you're interested in setting up your wares, please get in touch with Hillary or Stephen to make sure we save you space.

Finally, folks willing and able to marshal combat or fight byes in tournaments they are not participating in are invited to volunteer throughout the day. Interest and availability permitting, folks wishing to gain experience marshaling combat may be paired with veteran marshals. No competitor may marshal fights in a tournament they have entered within their division, but they may marshal those tournaments in other divisions.

We hope to see you there!
Hillary, Heath, Eric S., and the rest of the Tournaments of the Branch Staff
