A curious messenger has arrived at a fort in Qua Taereth Nunna- claiming to be a member of the blue blazers- not that anyone seems to know what that means. They said that they’ve travelled here, so that if they need to, they can later find the path back. They’re offering to take people to Springs- A town that they say “No longer really exists, technically thousands of miles away.”- for the small cost of helping them find the proper name of, curiously, a door. All the while, QTN itself grows darker- the sun no longer seeming so bright, shadows deepening further, and several travelling merchants have reported being robbed of food- but not valuables- in the night. One man claims that he stabbed a cloaked figure with blond hair with a dagger in the dark, and it just bounced off. In all this chaos, word has been put out. A certain traveller knows why someone would want to go to Springs- and why people in their right minds wouldn’t. All they will say is the following:
“That’s ground zero. The first known case of the blooming was in Springs.”

Welcome to anthologies! This will be a semi-authurian event. While the event will theoretically run if no one decides to NPC mods, it'll be questionable. The plan is to run at least 5 mods- and we don’t expect people to NPC more than one, or two at the most. People should bring weapons they are comfortable and competent fighting with. This event will be capped at 50 PC’s. In the unlikely case we hit the cap, we will still accept NPC registrations.
Rule changes:
- Rending will not cause forced memory loss.
- When learning a spell from the magic marshal, if you only require one signature to learn it, you may learn it into a circle you already have a spell learned. When you learn a spell this way, the spell that was already in that circle will be forcibly unlearned. The quest given will always be “NPC one mod”

- We will be playtesting a rework to both masterwork hammer and animal companion. Any player may prereg that they intend to replace their sixth with the MWH rework for the event, and any player may prereg that they intend to replace one of their 4ths or 5ths with a learning of the animal companion rework for the event. - Several staff have been designated as accessability marshals. If you would like an accommodation for any reason, you can reach out to them. Accessibility marshals are empowered to move play, grant specific rules accommodations, and suchlike. The current accessability marshals for this event are Matthew Mueller and Keith Palmer-Poirier
The following special calls will be used- in addition to omnibus calls.
Knight or mage blocks everything on this list.
- Seedstrike. This will be delivered by weapon blow, spell packet, by my gaze, by my voice, or an area call with a distance number following it. If a weapon blow or spell packet hits you, it counts as a normal blow, and if it draws blood, you are seedstruck. It must be blocked by aura of protection and purity to disease, and can be blocked by resist death. If delivered with a radius or by voice or gaze, it is only blocked by purity to disease. When you are seedstruck, it’s simply a state of being. It can be cured by cure disease or panacea. If you are seedstruck at the end of the event, see the EH.
- Knockback. When you or your gear are hit with knockback, you must take five steps backward, or otherwise as many steps as are OOC safe to do so. It will be delivered by weapon blow, or as a voice call with a radius
- You may hear variations on “all at the sound of my voice” or "By my gaze" calls. All of them can be blocked with a resist magic, in addition to things that would usually block that effect. If they contain a compulsion, they can be blocked by protect the soul, If they tell you to die, they can be blocked by resist death, Seedstrike can be blocked by purity from disease, exc. If you’re unsure, you can go find a MM or EH.

Regionals, and regional magic effects.
Every player, regardless of if they have regionals, will need to pick a role from the list found in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IJxgmcCgAU2HbBLHBT7vgIBfv9y2kO30Scvmck1T6O4/edit?usp=sharing. Roles have no mechanical effect on their own, but other mechanics may interact with them.
The following sets of regionals will be used throughout the day. Each mod may have access to different regionals. When a regionalist casts or uses a regional, it becomes locked in, and they have that regional in that slot for the rest of the event. The following sets of regional will be available, at parts in the day:

This event will be held in institute park- Bring water bottles, snacks, and suchlike. This is a public park- we may need to roll with working around other people who have the right to use the park as well.
